Dr. Maillet grew up in Dutchess County, New York, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Hartford. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Florida in 2018, where he also completed a shelter medicine certificate with extensive experience in spay and neuter procedures.

Since graduating, Dr. Maillet has worked in general practice with a strong focus on preventative care and client education. He has a particular passion for supporting pets on their weight loss journeys and helping families provide the best care for their companions.

At home, Dr. Maillet is the proud pet parent to three cats and two dogs. He’s also a devoted succulent enthusiast—though he’s starting fresh on his collection after a recent move. In his free time, you might catch him re-reading Harry Potter, proudly representing Slytherin House.
